Welcome dear friends, to the joys of the winter season. And with the snow and Christmas cookies swiftly comes cold and flu season. Unfortunately, as I am typing this, I'm curled up on my couch with my cat on my lap and a tissue lodged inside my left nostril. Sniffly, drippy, puffy sadness. But I did find some relief in one of my favorite fall and winter beverages: mulled apple cider. It's super easy to make and so nice to enjoy on a chilly day, a sick day, or any day that may require a cozy beverage.
Here's what you'll need:
- 1/4 Gallon (32oz) apple cider
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 4-5 cloves
- 3-4 allspice berries
- 1/2 an orange sliced or 3 drops DoTerra Wild Orange
- 2 drops DoTerra OnGuard
Place all of the ingredients in a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil. Then simmer for 5-10 minutes and serve.
Serves 4 people.
